DRAW: Final (1)
The first day of March, the United Kingdom announced the representative for their nation. Three weeks later the song with the corresponding video clip was revealed.
Some people were horrified, others were delighted. I was in denial for the first part of March expecting the entire announcement to be an early April fools joke. On hearing it for the first time I can say I was pleasantly surprised. It's a wonderful song, the orchestration is really good and the Hump does a lovely job. Again, we haven't heard it live yet, but I highly doubt that this song will be at the foot of the ladder this year.
Much like all ESC related sites, a fan writes their opinions on past and future ESC.

Countries over the last decade - Part I
Many things have happened in the last ten years:
41 seperate countries have contested the finals in these 10 years; three of these have appeared once and I've removed them from the deliberations:
- A semi final was introduced replacing the 'in and out', 5 year adherence and other crazy rules.
- A second semi final was introduced when the number of countries escalated to 40+
- Juries, while departed, came back in various forms
- Orchestra still missing

- BULGARIA - 2005 - Water
- ITALY - 2011 - Follia d'amore
- MONTENEGRO - 2005 - Zauvijek moja (Montenegrin song as part of Serbia-Montenegro

ESC 2011 #14: UNITED KINGDOM - I can - Blue
[rating before - 6th; after - 17th]
The UK chose song and singers and then a flash clip was presented. On ESC night, they came dressed from the occasion and they sang their hearts out - or as much as they could achieve anyway. The 4 screens seemed so arrogant with their faces on them and so conceited in their performance. I don't know. Worse - the screaming one (I dont know his name - the one who kept making lippy faces) couldn't hit his notes and for me, spoiled the experience.
